About Plug

Plug is the first part of Boredget, a budgeting app for Lagos. It isn't about saving more. It's about stretching the money you already have, by knowing where things are good and fairly priced.

How it works

Bought something good at a fair price? Drop it: what you bought, how much, how much you got, and where. Every plug becomes a price record that helps the next shopper, and later powers Boredget's recommendations.

Stretch Points

• 10 points for every plug, plus 3 for each extra detail and 15 for a photo.
• 10 bonus points for the first plug at a place nobody has plugged recently.
• 2 points for confirming someone else's price, and 5 when someone confirms yours (once the person confirming has dropped 3 plugs of their own).
• Daily streak bonus: drop every day to earn up to 25 extra points.
• 2 points when a friend who joined from a link you shared drops their first plug, and 30 more for their first plug with a photo (up to 5 friends a week). Find your invite link on your profile.

The weekly leaderboard resets every Monday at midnight. The top plug each week wins ₦5,000 cash.

Fair play

Prices that look far off the usual are checked before they count. Anyone can report a plug that looks wrong. How we keep plugs honest
